Christmas Seals have been an American Lung Association tradition since 1907. How long have Christmas Seals been a tradition for you?

I have been getting Christmas Seals and using them on my card sendouts every year since my husband, Pete, was diagnosed with COPD. He passed this year in April, so they have a special meaning this Christmas. I will be using them on the special ALA christmas card collection as I know our friends and family will be thinking of Pete this holiday season. Hopefully, these will make them smile & remember the good times & be thankful that he is no longer suffering. It will also remind them that we will walk for the ALA come Spring in LI as part of the 'Mr. Pete' team and contributions will be welcome!

My Dad is a lung cancer survivor. He is a very strong man and has been through so much. Recently he was diagnosed with COPD and he is still amazing us with his fight to make evey breath count. I have purchased cards, Christmas seals and ornaments to share so everyone will think about contributing tp this cause. My Dad is my hero.

I have been fond of Christmas Seals ever since I was a little girl. I grew up and was busy living my life and I forgot about Christmas Seals. Then a few years back I received a Christmas letter with a Christmas Seal and it reminded me of my childhood years with Christmas Seals. I just wish I would have kept them back then. Now I make a donation whenever I can and last year I actually bought gifts for my family from Christmas Seals. They loved them all. Thank You, American Lung Association.

I’ve been collecting Christmas Seals since I was a kid (since the mid ‘60s) and I was happy to get not only the 2009 seals, but the anniversary seals, as well, last year. When I look at my collection, the seals take me back to my youth, and the seals that were issued before I was born are little bits of Americana, marking the styles of Christmases long ago.

Nothing spectacular, just seems so special not forgetting anyone when sending Christmas Cards and I always got the job to put seals on the envelope as my mom and I did this huge stack of cards that sadly dwindles smaller by the year.
